Dude, I don't need to see this thread.
I know old tubes last longer, and generally sound better, depending on application.
I need some new 6550s for this 4104. The NOS prices are stupid!!!! Even the current new prices are up there. No way I'm spending $200-300 on a pair of power tubes.

All tubes usually surprise me not just NOS. I put a 15 year old JJ 12ax7 in v2 of my amp and it really helped out channel 2, added some low end and gain... and those JJ's are supposed to be pieces of shit, lol.
