I like this tone

Sounds like it. A few forumites i know that tried Bray amp said they could be bright or loose. The tones in these vids sound fantastic
 
Love how he is ripping it up on an Epiphone. I had a 1987x that Bray Modded for me. It was a great sounding head but in the end....i decided, why keep chasing the Van Halen tone????? Ed created it, it is his and a lot of people have made a lot of (and still are) $ chasing that tone. Ed realized this and almost in a genius move created his own line because he knows there is always going to be customers.
 
Sounds like you're gassing for an amp big time but you don't know which one is right :lol: :LOL:

The FJA5150 is staying. But it's pretty much all i played through for the past two years. Ready for a new flavor of tone

I hear ya. I love my amp, but I'd love a back up with a clean channel even.

I love what I'm hearing, but I know I would sound like ASS through that setup.....too dry, too honest.....

Plus, the madness would continue, with period correct speakers, guitars, and pickups.

I'm psycho like that.....
 
I'm prolly better off with a high gain channel switcher but the tones of the 4550 are killin me. Don't think it comes with an FX loop and I need an amp with a loop.
