For what it's worth - I had a (Pre-Peavey owned) Budda SuperDrive 45 II. Fantastic amp...ditto about volume knob going from low volume to really loud by bumping it a hair. The tones on clean and dirty channel were good. SD-45 was 2x KT66 and SD-80 is 4 x 6L6 so not sure if those tubes are that far of tonally. KT-66 could get squishy and stuff depending on how tone controls were set. If you're buying a used one I'd say $1200 or less is ok deal, underk $1k really good deal. New at $2k...I'd buy something else.
Oh, and I ran mine with the matching 4x12 with the Budda Phat 12 Speakers...was not bad. Cabinet was constructed of pine, kinda old school.
