Well, like you said regarding Larry that everyone has their own approach and their demeanor may or may not matter to those who are potential clients. I was more or less attempting to put my perspective on what may not be the greatest M.O. when representing a company that's not your own is all. I wouldn't want them to be personally taken to account for actions not within their control. That said, there would likely be a high probability that they wouldn't approve of this sort of representation. So, just recommending a course adjustment is all.
My only personal issue with him tbh, wasn't the trolling (as on some levels we all do it) but in that I was mistakenly under the impression that he was representing RT/Parent company staff along with the trolling. Outside of that, it's just exhaustive, but easy enough to ignore people. Some who have come in hot, have cooled down and have eventually been welcomed to the community. So, on some level there's still opportunity for that to occur but on him to convince members.
Unfortunately, I feel as if the start of this was based on recommending making friends that was taken as asking to kiss ass. It's just that I'm not a business here and aren't obligated to the same standards of equal opportunity as far as who I decide that I will or won't invest my time and energy into giving away free gear to. Asshole? Fine, plenty to go around. Not a long time trusted member? Get to work is all I was asking.
