I think I FRIED my delay pedal! Help!!

I'm an idiot... I plugged a Line 6 power supply into my boss DD3 and it started smoking and smelling like burnt metal. I immediately took it out but now the pedal is not working even if I put a 9V battery in there. I must've fried the insides or something. Is there any way to do a cheap fix without buying a new one or should I just trash it??

It's fried. You may be able to get a replacement board from Roland US but it's probably quicker and more cost effective to just buy a new / used one.

I fried my Morley Bad Horsie. The cost of replacing the board was about what buying the pedal used costed.
Sell your fried DD3 for parts on eBay (you may be surprised by what you can get for a non-working item!)

did you open it up and look? maybe just one or two components burnt out. could be a $5 fix, could be trashed.

It may just be the diode and resistor near to where the power comes in. I am not very clued up but I had the same with a Boss pedal before and I replaced the zener diode and a resistor and all was working again. There is a form called DIY stompboxes on the met that has a lot of info on this sort of thing (no offence meant if advertising another forums against the rules Brad). I got a circuit diagram and fixed it from there.
