I’m a casual fan of Every Time I Die. Some great songs and a bunch I’m meh about. Didn’t know much about the split. Wasn’t aware of the new bands they formed. Checked out Many Eyes and was like, Hmm..this is OK. Not amazing but alright. Not sure about the clean choruses even though I always liked Keith’s cleaner singing in ETID. Then I heard the guitarist had formed a band (same last name, are they Bros?) and after checking out a few vids, they fucking Slap.
The amount of cool guitar shit he fits in just one song is ridiculous. I’m not a big screamer/metalcore fan but there’s one or two bands who do it in a way that attracts my punk/hardcore thing. I fucking dig this band.

Easter egg: 30 under 13 is a fraction.
When you divide 13 by 30, you get .43333. A Dillinger Escape Plan fan will tell you that references 43% Burnt.

Anyway, BL kicks ass.

Yeah completely agree. And I think he’s a great fit with the ex ETID guys.

he’s such a great singer
I love it when a singer is distinct, especially when there’s screaming/hardcore vocals. Some you couldn't tell one from another. He has good variety in cleaner to meaner as opposed to the black and white of intense scream switching to angelic clean which I’m not a fan of (well, Howard did that pretty well in KSE but had great melodies and didn’t sound like a little kid).
With Many Eyes I couldn’t get into Keith’s melodic choices on the clean stuff. Way too typical of the modern sound, no personality where I instantly know it’s him. When he sang cleaner with ETID, it always had a slight quirk in delivery and he did good melodies that had feeling but weren’t pop sweet. Or maybe it’s the difference in the music that’s behind him?
