I think I need to leave Rig Talk for awhile

At least until I can get some more of my rig put together. This place literally makes me sleep deprived. My gas is so out of control now that my list of things to buy literally changes several times a day. Constantly looking at some of the rigs here every day literally makes me crazy!

I went camping with my wife and daughter this weekend and had no computer (except for a couple minutes) and my stress level was lower and I slept much better than usual.

So anyway, I should get my school and job shit in order so that I can quit wasting my nights stressing over gear, and start realistically putting together some of the stuff I really need and will use.
Ah, who am I kidding? I'll be back on here tomorrow.

A break can be a great thing. Helps get perspective back and makes the forum more fun when you come back. I keep thinking like most of us what about this amp or what about that amp but I haven't heard a clip (Marshall type stuff) yet that sounds better for me than the amp I have with a pedal or two.

I kind of have it lucky though. I'm not gigging anymore so it keeps what I need much simpler.

A big +1 when i was playing live i went from Bogner, Splawn, Mesa, Orange ETC. now that im just at home i have my pair of adam A7's and the axe-fx and im happier then ever.

Lots of cool amps ..... nothing better than a JMP style amp if you ask me. This with a overdrive, wa and some kind of modulation pedal is all I well ever need.

Pretty much anything can be addicting. Try keeping your computer off. I am sure there is a way that you can filter sites to prevent them from coming up, so you aren't tempted if you are using your computer for school.

Forums and gear are supposed to be fun, if they are not. Its time for a change...

I've been there several times. You just have to step back and realize what you have or want and "YOUR" tone. I have been happy ever since I got my Bogner 20th A XTC. Ok I am gassing for an Axe Ultra

i did that. i came to the conclusion that i'm a plexi kinda guy.. and there's nothing wrong with the gear i already have that a little tlc won't take care of. i've also come to the conclusion that i have too much stuff.

There's alot of commercialism and enticement to spend, some people are counting on that. It's up to you to discipline yourself and just see it as entertainment without having to spend any money.

I often spend more time here when I am away at work, posting here and at TGP and HRI after hours. At home I'll barely go on here. I think it's mostly because I miss being away from my guitar so go online to compensate by obsessing over details and discussing them much too long for anyone to read..
