well I went and saw Journey for the first time with my wife on 7-20-14 in Ridgefield Wa, nothing new to say, other then they were awesome, and Neal is Killer. I had 4th row seats, just off to the side of Neal, it was a great show, here is a video I shot with my Droid X2, the audio turned out pretty good, the video not great. I also got a Neal Schon guitar pick that was cool.

Been a Journey fan since the 70's, wasnt hard to figure Neal had a gift on guitar.

While i give props to the Phillipino guy for doing a good job, seems like the creativity of the band died with Perry.

They just seems like a Karaoke band now.

I think Pineda is amazing and I actually liked few songs on Eclipse .Tantra ,Resonate ,City of hope were all great tunes IMO

Did Neal get his todger out?

Do not be alarmed, it's all part of the show folks...

Their creativity was dying with Perry in the band. IMHO Raised On Radio is terrible, at least when you compare it to previous albums.

Robert Christgau's favorite band

Here's his critic for the album Frontiers:
Frontiers [Columbia, 1983]
Just a reminder, for all who believe the jig is really up this time, of how much worse things might be: this top ten album could be outselling Pyromania, or Flashdance, or even Thriller. Worse still, Steve Perry could run for the Senate as a moderate Republican from, say, Nebraska, where his oratory would garner excellent press--and then, having shed his video-game interests, ram the tape tax through. D+

I watched the doc on Pineda and the band that was on Netflix. The guy has been toughing it out in the slums of Thailand for a long long time. Seems like this was his dream fulfilled for him. Good on the guy. He has a fantastic voice! and a loving family.
