My Ibanez RG 2570z has the Edge Zero with ZPS3.

I'm having a problem with the trem arm. The problem seems to be the little collet which holds the trem arm in place on always comes loose due to a little washer which looks broken. It's annoying to say the least.

A replacement assembly will run me £40 from my Ibanez stockist (not fitted)... As I have little faith in the actual design in the arm, does anyone know off hand if a Schaller OFR arm will fit in the same hole? I can take it apart and go measuring, but if anyone happens to know, that'd be great!

Is it the nylon or plastic piece that sits under the screw down collar?

I'm pretty sure an OFR arm will fit. I haven't had an opportunity to take the stock arm off of either of mine which have the same system.

The trem arm goes in, and the black metal piece tightens but it also unties the whole assembly. I've tried my best to sort it, but to no avail.

Well, a new Schaller arm arrived this morning so I'm going to hack it apart later, see what's what!
