The original and the II. I've just been checking these old ibanez v's out. Anyone else think they are just sick? Especially the II, flame top, binding, block inlays and ibanez 6 side headstock just looks awesome together! Any info out there on these? Seem pretty rare. Any one have one and pics???

Here's mine. I've replaced the bridge Dimarzio with a Ibanez Super 70 since this pic.
Excellent v's. Get one.

I would assume the quality is better then what Gibson was putting out at that time too.

I've got an '82 RR450, the one with the set neck and flame top that you speak of. It absolutely rocks! The stock pickups are plenty hot, and have a great grind to them. And the neck is surprisingy fast and easy to play.

Yes, I am a fan! :D

That's what I've read. Can't do a direct comparison, but quality on this V is top notch.
I've had 3 or 4 other Rocket Roll V's and 3 of the Destroyers (Explorer) and quality was great on all of them. You can tell the people building these guitars took pride in their work.

But I do have a you tube video. I think some people might get tired of seeing this one, as this will be the third or fourth time I've linked to it.

Sounded great and yeah thats the one I'm gassin for! Ibanez should reissue these.

Yeah, that would be neat to see, but there's no way they would make it as well, unless they did a prestige or J craft version. As it is, I've owned two of these over the years, and they easily beat any Gibson v that I've ever tried.
