I liked the AE more than the Iconic in that video. Both seemed similar in nature. The AE had mids, but not in that same frequency as the Iconic. Any idea where the ENGL Blackmore may sit in that group since the AE is supposed to be a tweaked Blackmore?
 
Yeah, Engl Artist is one of my 2 favorite channel switchers along with my Mark VII. I had mine aet up for a nice clean, 800 ish crunch and the Hi lead is as brutal as you want. Blackmore is 90% same amp and is also awesome. I spent 9 years playing between those 2 and never a single issue except one microphonic preamp tube.
 
Blackmore is slightly more scooped. I slightly preferred the Blackmore for really heavy tones but it's splitting hairs especially in a mix.
