If Kirk Hammett could play Eruption.

I was thinkin more like Tiger Woods in his Heavy Metal phase.... Guess that's where he picked up his taste for slutty bar chicks
 
Heh - that dude does a good EVH circa '86.

Now, if you were to:

-Nasal up his tone and thin it out to make it sound like grating metal on a cat's a$$;
-add the aforementioned judicious use of a wah; and
-slop up the solo a bit,

then it would sound more like Kirk.

First off, I get it. I totally see what you're saying. But the guy gets the job done , he just doesn't have the smooth touch. Kinda like Kirk most of the time, he gets it done but it's not always pretty. He kinda looks like a shorter stubbier version of him too!
 
Though I agree on most Hammett comments, I'm sure the Hamster could play Eruption without much trouble.
 
Kirk is from that era and I have no doubt he can play eruption. It was pretty much a staple to learn back then.

But I wouldn't mind rollin out of bed tomorrow and playin that, like that...

Guess here in Cali I've seen WAY too many really bad VH tribs...

When he first started, I didn't get the issue, but I have to admit it went wheels off shortly after the 30 second mark (or so) :D

Being that Danny is considerably better than fat Eddie, I'm gonna roll with him, on this one :lol: :LOL:

What does smug have to do with this thread? I don't see anyone saying that they could do itbetter. Though I will say that I didn't think much about the performance at all. Ill also add that I don't think Kirk could play it. He might be able to learn it.... Pete Thorn does a pretty incredible job at it, BLOWS away the guy in the vid hands down...
