If you have 2 hours to spare... This is a great watch.

I just skipped to the Norum interviews as i didn't have much time. Crazy talented the Swedes are when it comes to guitar. Just something they have def. left their stamp on. But the most glaring question of all.. I skimmed through and saw no Malmsteen. Was that because he wanted 2 hours to himself??! lol.

Maybe Yngwie didn't get any time because he's totally insufferable and nobody actually likes him so much as acknowledges that it does take some talent to be able to sweep pick through every point on the neck in Phrygian mode on and to devote 100% of your career to only doing exactly that and nothing else.

Andy LaRoche in this, that's what really matters...since he blows doors on everyone on the planet.

I have to say I heard Malmsteen playing blues (although not traditional) and some Hendrix influenced style music, so surely he isn't a one trick pony. But yeah, he devoted the majority of his career playing harmonic minor and phrygian dominant scales.

I sped through it but I didn't see him.. he's another big omission if he isn't in there. He's a beast!

Agreed, we don't get to hear it much but the guy is a crazy good blues player. His vibrato and pentatonic phrasing is awesome.

Thanks! Much appreciated. I tend towards Entombed (anything with Nicke Anderson really), Refused, etc....but there are some great guitar players over there.
