My little 8" Speaker sounds like shit.. Or does it?? I guess if everything else around it was good, it works alright..

Best combo I ever plays was the Mark IV combo . I can’t believe how could the one we had was . It’s the amp that got me into amps
Speaker size is a big deal..
I can't even get a 10" in this thing but OTOH it's cool to have something small to practice with..

I have a 50’s Gibson Discoverer with tremolo. 12” speaker. Ised it with a Samsamp GT-2 pedal for a long time as a practice amp. Probably would record well.

My little old Vypyr 15 sounds very convincing when miked. I could make it work on an album if I had to. It's got some beyond decent high gain stuff.
I paid a whopping $50 for it used off Craigslist.

I have a JJ Jr that sits under my tech desk at work. Love that amp! It's my only tube amp these days but it sounds fabulous.

I like Fender combos for big tones
I'm with this along with some of the vintage Gibson and Gibson Maestro circuits. There are great rock and blues tones there. The Les Paul amp GA-40 is killer. I have an old reverb echo deluxe that has smokin' tone when it works right, lol. Grey glass sylvanias. Great studio amp.

You know, in the corner in that picture is a JCA 50 Combo with my custom cardboard cover.. :p

My best sounding amp is a JMP 2104 with the original black back speakers. I usually use a 2204 head with modern speakers because I'm so afraid of blowing up those old black backs, though.
