YES!

Oh, and listen to it on studio monitors if possible. Sounds awesome!

If you like Van Halen there is no way to drive with this blasting in your car and not smile.

Ya, it's growing on me good. Best thing VH has put out since 1984. Hope they make another soon...would like to hear a more vintage guitar tone (cranked old Marshall + cable) but I don't think Ed is into that tone anymore.

I didn't like any Sammy CD enough to listen to more than twice. :dunno:

I listened to this disc about 12x already, I'm getting real Frosty!
Little Wolf has lots of cool moments too, sounds like Vai/Sheehan in some places

Took a different flavor when cranked through the home stereo. The louder you crank it the better it sounds.

blasted it thru my HS80M's.. sounded pretty damn good. My favorite tracks are "The Trouble with Never" ,"You and Your Blues", and "As Is". The last minute of "As Is" is the VH I love, pretty good tone too. Very Fair Warning sounding...

I love the lyric in stay frosty "Don't make me say this twice/ you want to be a monk/ you got to cook a lot of rice"

Look beyond that kung foo fightting god is love but get it in writing! Trust in Iraq...but tie up your camel! This album is just flat out fun music! I agree it just is awesome moving some air!

I also love the album! Even Tattoo is growing on me! If Ed's tone was better, brighter, louder, it would have been that much better, but still, a killer VH cd, with a lot of great songs that are very diverse. Several of the tunes remind me of the 2nd album with their minor key harmonies. And the reworked demo tunes rock, but I still miss the lyrics to "Please Don't Leave Me Alone"! How Dave doesn't mess up and sing "Big Trouble" instead of the updated Big River is beyond me. Honeybabysweetiedoll is one of the stand outs, like a classic strange VH tune from WACF. And, I can't get the chorus to Trouble With Never out of my head!

A killer album that I WANT to listen to over and over, loud!

The naysayers will find a way...or never admit to it.

I like Honeybabysweetiedoll and As is

Its all good. Even the guitar tone is growing on me :D

I think Stay Frosty (solo w/phaser) and Outta Space have the best guitar tones on the album. I also like the tunes that use the Ripley guitar, like used on Diver Down + !

Told you I was comin back....
say your messages...
say it like you mean it...

I LOVE the album. It's waaay more than what I hoped for. Everything about it is smokin'.

Awesome!

This CD has not left the player in my car. It sounds kickass in there. I was pretty skeptical after hearing Tattoo but this release is about as good as any of us could have really hoped for. How many "comeback" albums are ever this good? I think Ratt's last release was better than expected. Accept's comeback was monster. And now this. This release is a lot better than I expected. For guys in their mid 50's, they recaptured a lot of the fire they had in the early days.

And like RVS said, this CD is in my top 7 Van Halen releases of all time. I think we know which 7 those are. ;)

I am loving this disc too, which has really surprised me. The only track I really don't like is You and Your Blues. I skip it every time. The intro is way to Balance for me. Especially since it is placed between such awesome songs. Hell, it even makes Tattoo song good. That said, the rest of the disc is so good I just don't care. The Trouble With Never and As Is just jam though.
