I had a few older ULs w/out eq and a few Classics w/out eq. I liked them, but they just seemed to fall short. I always wanted to try a newer one.
Last week I rec'd my 2004 UL with the eq and I'm loving this thing. This is tighter in the lows/low-mids and a little better defined. I know there's a few of you guys who don't use the eq, but I honestly can't imagine why. I did try my mxr 10 band in the loop and, although it sounded good, it didn't sound the same. Also, I love the attack on this puppy - especially with the "edge" button pushed in on the red channel.
Now - I'm even more curious about the sigx.
