Yeah, the lawyers and doctors who know tone on TGP were really shitting on Joe a few weeks ago. I saw comments like "overrated" spouted off several times. Seriously, 60% of the people over there can go fuck a moneky. I just like to use their classifieds.

I can hear the EJ influence, but no where near the amount that I would call him a rip off. He has just translated some of the moves into his style, and that is not an easy thing to do.

I don't agree with some of the things he says, but he seems like a harmless fella who would be fun to have a beer with.

I posted that whole grammy thing on TGP, which in hindsight was not a good move on my part. Didnt know it would turn into the shit storm it did. If I ever meet the man I will apologise... I don't like to cause bad press for anyone.

Anyways... Monster player. Very accomplished in what actually makes good guitar playing.

Maybe I need to listen to EJ more cuz I can't stand the stuff I've heard of his but love Joe.

I love both and never got the EJ ripoff comment. Yeah, JB happens to indulge in alot of EJ'isms when hes playing faster runs but their music is nothing alike.

I mean, I wouldn't say he rips off EJ, but he definitely does turn on full EJ mode on some songs. When he does, I switch to the next track. The JB I like is the anti EJ JB, the one with the balls. That is why I prefer BCC. To be honest, as much as I like EJ, I feel that he has no balls. His tone is beautiful, but if I want to listen to a violin, I will. I want rock or some energy behind the playing. EJ has none. When you see him live he stands their with his giant headphones like the crypt keeper. Mick Mars rocks the stage better and he can barely move. JB has it all, and can do it all, but when he does cop the EJ he does have the ability to rise above EJ by doing it WITH BALLS. Same runs, but with some aggression. Some real tone. That's the difference...oh and his songs are generally better...imo.

Dont they hate JB over there? Ill never get how they can gush about John Mayer and shit can Joe... It just doesnt make any sense at all..

Joe had an interview where he pretty much said those guys on the forum need to stop screwing around buying shit and practice.

this was a fun gig, and I didn't have to work too hard. Got to meet Concrete Vampire and Greg Riley which was cool. Beth Hart sounded fantastic too.
Joe's amp rig was the Dumble and a Jim Kelly combo. Sounded pretty sweet.
