Let see what happens when I put a new set of JJ 6L6GC tubes on my VH4 blueface.
Since I bouhgt the new VH4, I have wanted to try them. Now there is stock EL34BHT's.

The correct bias rate seems to be 70mA/pair for 6L6, am I right?

I'm sure you are going to love these tubes in VH4  I do

It's matter of taste as always but to my ears I definitely prefer the 6L6GS's.

What's the verdict? what do you notice in differences?

Well, first thoughts after jamming a while. The differences aren't big but...

More headroom, a bit less compressed feeling and not so mid / hi mid heavy.

That just my opinion and I like the change

my blue face came with 6l6 ruby from the factory, and believe me, sounds freakin awesome. dont look back to el34 in that head...
all my vh4 rack is loaded with 6l6...

but herberts sound better with el34-kt77.

just my opinion!
