I've got a decision to make here regarding interfaces for home recording.
I've recently decided to get back into home recording, and last week spec'd out and picked up a new iMAC - i7, Quad Core, 16GB RAM, 1TB Fusion.
I'm picking up a TwoNotes Captor 16ohm this week as well for tracking guitars and bass over drums which we'll record at a studio.
Anyway, I bought an older version RME Babyface from a friend. However, it looks as though I'll need to download the drivers, and it's USB only.
Should I use this as my interface, or instead buy one of the newer Focusrite Clarett 2pre's?
I'm liking the idea of a Thunderbolt connection, which my iMAC has.
Which will sound better between the two?
Which will have less latency?
What's the best way to go here for an interface?
Many thanks!
