No Need to thank Me! I was glad to help! These amps are just KILLER and they are most definitely sleepers (and Im glad that they are lol :D )
Enjoy it and please let me know what you think of it when you get it! Methinks that you are going to have a smile a mile WIDE!!

You know these tones from this module are killer and it appears that the Mark series amps or tones are making a comeback as of recently. It's like people are rediscovering the tones of yesteryear Mesa's. It's really cool how sometimes we look past the old for the new and some old was way ahead of its time to just discover it all over again.

We already had this topic -> cae3+se

..apparently some guys have a different oppinion 'bout Anthony's modules and how close they can get to the "real thing"

Ive played the mesa Mark series amps since the late 80's but It wasn't until 92 where I could actually afford to buy one lol. With that said, I think the reason why people are re-discovering them is because nowdays people aren't afraid to tweak. What I mean is that a when the Mark series were first introduced they had a ton of knobs and options that freaked a lot of people out lol. you basically had a lot of technophobe people who were affraid to touch knobs claiming that the amp was to difficult to work with and that set off the "it's hard to get a good tone out of them Bullshit that I had to hear for years"
This caused parrotting.....basically parrotting is one who imitates the words or actions of another, especially without understanding them.
Now forward to today... You've got a ton of modern amps that have a lot of knobs that make the Marks series look like a plexi in comparison :D plus you have so much information avalaible that a lot of people aren't affraid to check these amps out anymore.

Im not saying that everyones going to like the Mark series tone (chubtone and Grezygeo absolutely HATE them!!) But I think a lot of the re-discovery is because people are more willing to tweak and they are better informed!! The funny thing is that there is only so much you can do with tube-amps and not alot has chnged because of how tubes actually work. I personally believe that the Mark series are extremely cool

Good point. I think your right there probably is less fear of a bunch of knobs. We are more tech savvy nows a days in our culture. Whether it be computers, internet, gaming systems, or home media servers, our world is adapting to tech. So a group of knobs, switches, and buttons aren't that big a deal. Plus YouTube allows us to judge everyone before we try it ourselves

I think my Mark III was in the top 3 of all time amps I have owned.
Best deal for the $$$ on the used market for sure!!

Wow..that discussion got way out of hand....thought I was on HCAF for a minute ;-)

All it really proves is that tone is a personal thing...I think the VH4 sounds merely average and that Dan is insane...it might 'prove' that I have poor taste...but it's still just opinion :-)
