improving the iceman

2 things. eversince i got my KV2 i havn't played my iceman very much and i think if i make a few modifications to it ill play it more.

1.) How can i help stop neck drop. i mean its bad. im using a dimarzio clip lock strap and i don't wanna get another one so how can i fix this?

2.)whats a good fretboard dye? I want it to be more black like ebony.

3.)whats a good set of pickups for drop c metalcore and d standard thrash

strap button has been moved already from the back to the side like on an lp. I didn't do it for neck drop but i didn't like how the guitar leaned forward

and for pickups the deactivators caught my eye but so did WCR pickups. more specificly the ironman and herc's. anyone try those 2?
 
I had an IC300 for years and loved it, but the IC400 is a greatly improved guitar. I had a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge and a PAF Pro in the neck and that was a great combo for the basswood. Yours is made of mahogany though, so I might go with the EMG's like Mega suggested.

A wide leather strap should take care of the "neck drop". :thumbsup:
 
Duncan Distortion and 59 neck. A leather strap will help the neck issue.
 
SO far Leather strap, would the dye from stewmac do the job? and anyone have any expirence with WCR pickups?

I believe the dye from Stewmac is the same thing I posted.
 
I've cleaned rosewood fretboards with lemon oil before, and it darkens the color significantly.

same this fretboard is as dark as its gonna get at the moment.
 
i love the strap locks, but those straps are hella slick. They make a leather strap, but it's like 60 bucks. i've been wanting to try and sew something on one of the straps i've got?


i've got a couple of Ibeenhad Destroyers which could maybe be close to a Iceman? anyways the Anderson H3 just fucking kills in there :rock: just head and shoulders better than any other pickup i've tried :rawk:
