Ok, we all know I am a Friedman Fan Boy...
I have the Friedman Little Sister Combo and the Pink Taco V2 Head and PT112 cabinet which just arrived this week.

Yesterday I almost pulled the trigger on a Runt 20 head for $840, but by the time I got off the treadmill it was gone.
Today I saw a JJ Jr. combo for $1019 and lesson learned, I pulled the trigger asap.

It should arrive on Tuesday and I hope to have a review and videos up by Wednesday.

If it is cold out I let the amp warm up to room temp before firing it up, glass doesn't like going from cold to hot, it shatters, so I figure play it safe with those tubes.

My first choice would have been a JEL-20 Head, but they are still going for high prices.
My 2nd choice would have been a JJ Jr. Head, but they are selling for more than the combo so I grabbed the combo.
I would have taken a Runt 20 as a 3rd choice, but the JJ Jr. seems like a better Runt 20.

I can't wait to post a review.

I thought about buying the JEL20, but as you said they are still selling fairly high. The JJ Jr I expect will rise because they are no longer made, although they were dirt cheap for several years. JEL50s on the used market right now are pretty much non existent.

I bought a BE50 last year, but had Dave add the thump frequency of the JJ/Slax and also, he added a high voltage switch which gives me a high gain JCM800 tone. I lot of people complain that the BE takes away those higher frequencies that Marshalls have, but Dave can really add those if you ask for the HV mod. I keep mine on the 800 mode most of the time, but having a high gain Plexi-ish tone is also awesome.

I prefer the tones of Friedmans to Marshalls, so whatever frequencies people complain are not there, I probably prefer they not be.
The cool thing is Dave will mod things to your liking so you have the perfect amp for you.

JJ jr is a nice amp, i had one for a little while, i also had the fullsize version.

It is a smaller sized combo than my Little Sister combo, should be easier to transport. still weighs the same 52lbs. I can't wait to hear it, I would have preferred a closed back cab, but I can't complain

I had the head version, but ive played the combo and its a nice amp.

I liked the combo better than the sound of my jr head and mesa 1x12 cab, didnt sound as hollow or boxy. I think you will be happy with the combo , i will say the jr head sounded great with my 4x12 cabs.
