Hey all, first post here!
So in the past I tried the Grandmeister40D and I thought it was a very nice amp with alot of convenient features, but I didn't get along with the distortion on the Ultra Channel. It was too loose and flubby sounding. I threw a Bad Monkey OD infront of it and it made it only a little better. I ended up returning the GM40D.
The BS200 distortion is supposedly "tweaked" a little according to H&K. I have a feeling it's going to sound more or less the same, but I cannot resist to order it and give it a try, because I love the looks and portability so much. There are a few demos that make it sound really good, and some not so good.
The temptation was too great not to order at least a used one and see if I can like it a little better. I don't mind losing money on shipping if I have to return it. I just have to try it again!
