Although I have gas just as bad as anyone, rarely is a guitar released that makes me drool so much I buy it without thinking how I am going to pay for it. But when this was released a few months ago, I just had to get one. I ordered it last week and I should have it by Tuesday.

Great guitar, just not a lot of ebmm Petrucci love around here for whatever reason

Maybe mainly because Big Poppa is better Known as Big Douche

Yeah. I'm over on the Music Man forum as well so I know what you're talking about. I have had my own run in with him but everything was smooth over. He's very passionate about his products. And this company make some fantastic guitars

Very cool. I like these so much more than JP's majesty guitar.

yeah I sneak over there...not as LTK because I'm banned :aww:
I saw a thread about a stealth axis. Now THAT would be sweet! Same as the EVH Stealth...matte black finish, ebony board, ss frets, black hardware and knob

Looks like a hell of a guitar mystix! I still love the hell out of my Balls, to be honest I think my 20th anniversary is my favorite, but my amber Axis SS and black Silo Special HSS are always in the running. Hope the guitar is everything you were wanting!

Congrats, looks like a nice guitar.
The knob positions are ridiculous though.

I think it's because it's a pretty plain looking guitar IMO. Now this one sticks out a lot better IMO. The way the top maple piece joins on the horns looks fantastic. This is the first one I've seen that I really like. I've played a couple and they are definitely top notch as far as fit and finish and play-ability.

Looks awesome. I just can't get used to the knob placement. I'd take one as nice as yours and just deal with it though. That's about the nicest looking jp I've seen. Congrats

I totally agree with the knob placement. I had a JP6 and sold it soon after just because the volume knob was so far south and out of the way, plus the pup selector was right in the valley of accidental hitting zone. After years of playing Wolfgangs, axisss, Lukes and Silos I liked having that volume knob at my figer tips but just slightly out of the way. When playing shows and at a good volume you need to be able to grab that volume and roll it off after every break in a song. My trianed hand fought that with the JP. Obviously works for him and many others....just not me

great guitars though!

Hey Mystix, sweet guitar, Im over on the forum as well and I browse constantly looking for MM guitars but the forum is a little slow and hokey with all the MM ass kissing but Ive been playing MM for like 20 years now, started with the EVH and after tons of guitars I now have 2 silo specials with different pups and Im waiting to see what the Hunter guitar looks like plus any of the new offerings that will be available this or next year....

Let's wager on how long before it goes up for sale

You win....unless his FS thread is a joke.

Wow!....that was fast! Even for his standards!

The horns look a little weird being as skinny as they are... If that's what you are getting though, congrats on a NGD!
