Incoming NGD - Suhr Modern Gold Drip

I've been GAS'ing hard for a Suhr Modern. Came this close ->||<- to pulling the trigger on a custom order with a hipshot fixed bridge, but came across this and pulled the trigger tonight.

Suhr Modern Gold Drip with ebony board. I've never had a Gotoh 510 bridge before (I hate Floyd's though). I'll do the tremol-no or I may even like the Gotoh, we'll see. Now I just need to learn how to make that bar chord...

It's a double S that you can order from Suhr, so semi-custom I suppose? It's Mother of Pearl.

The order sheet says it was made for Distinctive Guitars, so I'm guessing this was a special order they did. I found one like it (except straight headstock) on their site. After seeing that new price, I jumped on this used price, haha.

Guitar arrived today. Like a lot of guitars, it looks so much better in person. Now my wife took one look at it and said "that's ugly", haha. I know the drip colors aren't everyone's cup of tea but I love this one for sure. It feels amazing too, I can feel the vibration and fullness just strumming without an amp. I'm blown away.

I can't take any better pictures of it than I posted above from the seller, but it does look at home with the rest of the boys.

Guitar arrived today. Like a lot of guitars, it looks so much better in person. Now my wife took one look at it and said "that's ugly", haha. I know the drip colors aren't everyone's cup of tea but I love this one for sure. It feels amazing too, I can feel the vibration and fullness just strumming without an amp. I'm blown away.

Man that really looks killer. If the wife thinks it's ugly that just reinforces how cool it actually is! But the way, this is the first time I have seen your amps I guess and MAN... nice collection. Also, checking out the Ashen Reign stuff. Very cool.

Thanks dude, I was nervous when I showed her. It looks so impressive and high dollar to me I was worried she may start asking too many questions, but when she said it was ugly, I just smiled and said it's the new thing, all the other kids are into it.

Thanks for checking out the Ashen Reign stuff, don't listen to the first album, it was circa 2008 and pretty shitty as I was learning to record...sounds like a garage jam or something. We all live and learn, haha. The 2nd one, I got recording/mixing down a little better.
