I have a Solar A1.6D on its way to me this week. Ordered in October and got the tracking number today. The guys working with Ola really went above and beyond making sure I got my guitar after an issue with paypal and my bank. For some reason making an overseas purchase is a pain in the ass over a certain dollar amount.

Anyway its en route.

It has stainless frets, locking tuners, luminlay, and evertune bridge. The only mod Im doing is swapping out the pups for black winters. The Solar stock pickups are pretty good but I prefer a little hotter of passive pups. Here is a pic from the site but I will update with a pic once it arrives.

They seem to make some really nice quality guitars....Can't wait for the pics

I have an S1.6 and its kept me from from G.A.S.'n too hard for other guitars. Its hard to beat price/features/quality wise.

Awesome looking guitar, reminds me a bit of a Ran Crusher with the way carve is on each horn.

Congrats man! I kinda been wanting to pick one up too, preferably with the Evertune just so I can see whats that all about. Definitely keep us posted on how you like it and the evertune

yeah this is my first Evertune so Im curious to how I will get on with it. I prefer hardtail bridges nowadays by a large margin. Ive had tons of different variants of trems over the years and got to the point I felt they were more hassle than they are worth with how I play. So Im kinda nervous about the bridge but excited as well. I also have some SD Black Winters Im going to pop into them that I havent tried before.

Also about this order: They came out with this limited edition and were sold out until Feb. I had contacted Solar about wanting one in that shipment if there would be any left by the time my check showed up a week later. They only had a couple spots but they let me put in an order and select bank transfer as payment type so I could reserve. So they held it from Oct - January without being paid then sent an invoice to be paid by months end. Paypal credit treated the invoice as a cash advance and would only let me pay 20% of my limit. So I asked to pay another way and was told to cancel the order and reorder(by this time the guitar was out of stock until April) and that they would make sure it got out by Jan/early Feb. After a miscommunication about the new order replacing the first one, I got an email saying the order was accepted and would be shipped in April. I sent an email in telling them the history of the order and about an hour later I received a tracking number. From Spain to Charlotte NC in 3 days expected delivery date.

TLDR version. I screwed up payment methods and they bent over backwards to make sure I got the guitar I wanted when I wanted.

Both Solar and KSR have both went out of their way for me the past two years or so and did so graciously. They would have to do something really crazy to lose my business.
