had a chick guitar player do the same thing to me about 10 years ago, but it was my 5150. Sold her the whole rig for $375 because hers was in the shop and she so desperately needed a back up rig.

I explain to them that My price is fair, if not generous, and that My price is somewhat greater than what guitar center is going to pay me, but much less Than what guitar center will sell it for. They can pay what I’m asking, Or piss me off to the point where I don’t give them a deal and sell it to guitar center Just to avoid the BS back-and-forth

We all have a general sense of what the market should be for gear. If someone has an over inflated Price on CL, I will politely reach out to tell them that I am interested and I ask them to reach back out to me before they “give it away to guitar center.” I don’t even offer them lower than what they have listed. I have gotten some great deals this way When guys have had ads posted forever, keep lowering the price, need the $, and are holding out before they inevitably Yield to the guitar center raping.

I got suckered and that's my weakness. I just thought those here interested should know who they're dealing with. And the amp is not like new, it had a few resistor and capacitor values changed out and had a choke mod at one time that has been removed but the back of the front panel was chipped out for a relief because the choke hit the back of the front panel and of course the holes in the chassis. Amp still sounded awesome.
