Installing some Mixed tubes on my VH4: BURN SMELL (wtf)

excellent.

can someone explain to me which tubes belong to the 6L6 family and which ones belong to the EL34? so I know where I'm setting the switch?

KT77
KT66
KT88
etc etc etc
 
- 6L6, 5881, KT66
- EL34, KT77, 6CA7
- 6550, KT88
- 6V6
- EL84
 
Olaf, which position do you put the switch for KT88 or 6550 tubes in VH4?
