Interesting how gear moves around the country.

Saw this Splawn Nitro at GC this morning, thought it looked familiar. I bought it online from GC in 2020 (can't remember which store it came from), shipped to me here in Arkansas. Sent it back to Scott Splawn to have the "fully loaded" mods done (mid, new/old and B+), and have it converted to KT88's. Turned out that I should have just left it alone, I wasn't happy with the result. Had my tech put it back to EL34's, but with the other mods, it wasn't the same. Sold it on Reverb in 2023 to a guy in Brazil, IN.. and now it's in Monterey Park, California. LOL

Same serial number, same red tolex and "flame" motif on the front.. I paid $877.14 shipped for it back in 2020 in it's original form. Crazy.

I had an old Spector Euro4 bass that was my first taste of Spectors - I foolishly traded it in to my local shop in Upstate NY years ago towards a 2012 Gibson Les Paul R8. The last time I saw that bass, it was listed on Music Go Round's website for a store in Minnesota. I knew it was the same one based off the flame top and serial number. And in the 5 years it was gone, someone abused the shit out of it. I have no idea where it is now, but I do wonder from time to time and still look occasionally for it. I think I bought it off GC's used website, and it shipped out of California in just a thin gig bag in a box with no packing materials.

It happens.
I sold GC a Ceriatone 50 watt head w/ 6550's. It wound up in the West Coast to a guy who recognized my name (it was inside the amp)
