Good read, that. Thanks man.
I've never bought into hype, but rather base my conclusions on my own experiences, and I've had some doozies with this shit.
For the record, for 45 years I've not been able to handle transmission (leaks) from MW ovens and all other sources I've been aware of. Even metres above a MW unit on a different house floor and with a waterbed between "us", I was affected and used to dash downstairs and berate my ma for not warning me so I could move to another room (my bedroom was directly-above). Not once in more than 10 years did I run down the stairs on a false alarm and there was no way of knowing when the oven was fired up from upstairs.
Back then peeps had base-station 'phone setups. Always produced headaches for me within 30 seconds of placing a receiver to my head. Low-level, unsophisticated "code", but the amplitude on those things was high, and that's what got me.
Fast forward to the age of cell 'phones. If I place a transmitting 'phone near my head for a few seconds, I'm awake for, on average, 2 and a half days. Worse than that, my focus is completely-lost and I'm useless. Can't perform chain / complex tasks 'cause context is thrown out-the-window.
WiFi is strong for me, and always leaves me edgy.
BlueTooth, low-amplitude 'though it may be, produces a headache within 90 seconds. I can't wear active-3D glasses for this reason, which is a major bummer 'cause I love Gran Turismo and would like to be able to experience the more-immersive 3D option. Can't run BT keyboards or mouses either.
For the above reasons, I've had to go without wireless
everything, including keyboards, mouses, headphones, remote controls (except for IR ones, which are fine, obviously), iPads, cell 'phones, MW ovens, internet fridges(!)...
anything that transmits
any flavour of electrical impulses. Even my only 'phone is hard-wired, obviously.
The boffins who conduct testing achieve varying results, usually depending upon who's funding. No surprises there. I ignore all such efforts 'cause I have my own body (and mind's!) reactions to go by, and only a fool would suggest any of them (my reactions, to be clear) is healthy, hence my post earlier.
Hope this clarifies the fact that I'm not a fool (although I am, of course, just a punk with toilet water behind his ears) and that in fact I'm super-sensitive to these things, as I am to all food additives and toxins added to household cleaners, perfumes, soaps, shampoos, aftershave... you name it. Been this way since I was under 10 years old, and I attribute it to heavy-metal poisoning, of which I copped three
huge doses, one leaving me in spasmodic seizure at age 2, which seemed to trigger a year-long battle with glandular fever, one resulting in insomnia and major depression at age 8 and the third causing chronic fatigue and a myriad of autoimmune issues at age 28.
Being a silver-lining guy, the positive for me is that I'm a friggin' walking litmus test, although that comes with the expected sceptical blowback that I've had to endure for 45 years.
