Hey dudes, even though I post here very occasionally, I thought a proper introduction was in order so you're not wondering, "Who the f*ck is this idiot!" :D

My name is Dave Kracke and I design and build amps for Fastback Guitars&Amps in Seattle, and have been with them for two years now. I picked up the guitar in the early '80s thanks to EVH and Randy Rhoads inspiration, and after about three years of playing I got my first Marshall. Since this was kinda the start of the big mod era, I had my amp for less than a week and took it over to a friends Dad, who was in the Navy in the '60s and knew about vacuum tube circuits. He taught me tube fundamentals and gave me his old Navy manuals, along with the Radiotron Designers Handbook (the tube bible!!) and off I went !
I probably spent a solid year torturing my poor 50w 2204, until I was getting tones I was hearing on the albums of the times.
It's the usual story of friends hearing my amp and asking if I could mod theirs. That was nearly thirty years ago. Ugh, time flies !! Since then I've modded, restored, repaired a bazillion amps. ;)
My faves have always been old Fenders and Marshalls, but I've worked on a ton of stuff over the years; early Bogners,Soldano,VHT,Mesa,Krank,Peavey.......you name it !

Fast forward to '11 and Mark Naron of Fastback Studios in Seattle approaches me about building some amps for him. I built one 18w combo proto, he took it to the SeaTac guitar show that Spring, and away we went !
So STFU already and lets hear them !? :D
