Jeez.....that guitar and Boogie amps seem like sacrilege to me. Cool video none-the-less.

I watched these vids last week and thought about posting them here. Especially with all the Mesa Mk talk lately.

Wow, his pups are at 24k?
That is a hot friggen pickup

Never knew Iommi used a scalloped fretboard.

Video made me miss Dio :(

I used to have a Laney GH-100 TI and I felt that it had a lot in common with the general voice of the Mark III, only a bit more raw and modern sounding.

I could only imagine in 84 how crazy the amount of gain in a Boogie compared to a stock 800 was. He sounds like he's on the high of having that gain and hasn't figured out yet it needs to come way down..

Are those MK2B heads? I thought he mentioned the 4x12s were 300w...
Could be wrong, but don't want to watch again....

i liked his lead tone. didnt watch long enough to hear his rhythm tone if any.

i'd imagine that BC rich is probably worth some gold....

worst iommi tone ever

Agreed, and I own a Mesa/Boogie amp too (MarkIV). Iommi's tone in the mid-1970s was heaps better. More raunch, more evilness, more power. If anything Iommi was trying to get a high gain Mesa/Boogie sound way back then, yet by the time he actually got a Boogie amp he made it sound terrible! Just sounds like a thin buzzy mess.

I've actually seen this video some time before- I may have even posted it here at some stage.

Mk2B Coliseum Series 300. Because of the name people think it's a 300w amp but it's actually around 180w.

Ok... I keep forgeting about the Series 300 part of the Coliseum.
Someone posted, either here or on the Boogie forum, some sound files of one of these. Sounded incredible!
I have a MK2B head and I think it sounds quite amazing, but at the same time I think that if the MK2b is the Dual Rectifier, the Coliseum is the Dual Rectifier even better, or a Triple Rectifier!

I think it was Zachman- he has a white Coliseum just like the one you posted. It's a MarkIII Coliseum I think.

This has nothing to do with the gear. But the beverage bottle behind his left shoulder is bothering me for some reason idk why. Does anyone know what that is? lol. Just a silly observation. ;)
