This app is awesome! It's literally Guitar Pro for iPhone and iPad. Same interface, displaying both standard notation and tableture (can hide either) and a fretboard/keyboard to show fingerings. Can read text, PDF, Power Tab, and Guitar Pro files (including the new GP6 file type). GP and Power Tabs have multi track playback just like Guitar Pro for your computer. It also has a built in browser to download tabs right inside of the app. This thing is great! Best $10 I've spend on my iPhone.

Sadly, you can't compose with it (yet), which is what I needed when I looked for it, but I bought it regardless. They are working on an update that will let your sync with other devices via Bluetooth so multiple people can read the same tab simultaneously on their device. What a great tool for bands learning new songs! When this and composing is added, this app will be incredible. The company that created Guitar Pro is developing an official release, but I can't see how it will be any better than this. I am blown away by the feature set and the ease of use, and that's conning someone from a homebrew iPhone developer myself. This is a must buy!

Here's the official site. tabtoolkit/">http://www.agilepartners.com/apps/tabtoolkit/</a>

I have had it for quite a while now...it really kicks ass. You can import guitar pro tabs, powertab tabs, text tabs, etc... so you can use any of that to compose your own if you like.... Here is the overview video...I have both on my Ipad and Iphone...either one is pretty much the same features

So how does this work exactly? Do you just buy the app and you have access to unlimited tabs or is it simply a tab reader for other things you must subscribe to?

Nothing to subscribe too. The app has a built in web browser, so you just search google for the tab you're looking for. Or transfer tabs to your iDevice from your computer via WiFi.

It took me less than a minute to find, download, and play a tab on a 3G connection

Been using it more today, and it's great. No guitar player with an iDevice should be without it!

Thanks guys! If you have any questions about TabToolkit...

Or GuitarToolkit, or AmpKit, feel free to let me know!
