So I picked up some new IR's from @easstudios this week. I decided to pull out my Mesa Stiletto Trident and just start riffing, straight into the amp, no boost, into a Suhr RL with the Bogner IRs and Greenback IRs and it sounded fkn great. I decided to go ahead and record a quick SMG riff challenge to hear how they sound in a mix. I didn't really have to tweak anything which was nice. I ended up also using an STL Libra IR loader I picked up years ago that lets you load n mix up to 8 IRs. It worked pretty good for this, I literally chose 1 random IR from each mic type in the pack. Enjoy!

Man this sounds fucking great. I don’t think people realize how ridiculous it is to have that much clarity and that perfect of a low end response with basically no eq. These IR’s really are incredible, glad people love them and hopefully that means I’m not deaf either haha! Those plan mutes sound stupid on this, super sick man.

Loving this! Great tones, makes me want to check out a Stiletto for myself.

Really liking how you can hear the individual character of the different cabs coming through. Particularly liking the IR on the right for this clip but the mix of both adds some nice width.

your vid demoing that sunn pedal was one of the greatest demo's ever....

Well said dude. Especially the no eq part... and I didn't even start to dig in and fish thru the IR's, I literally used the first ones in the pack for each mic. The only thing I added was some resonance in the loader itself but that was it. I didn't even bother with any high or low pass for this, just wanted to see how it sounded as is.

Honestly the Stiletto is the one amp that gets shit on because its highs and upper mids are hard to dial out which is why I chose that amp for this. The first IRs I loaded up was the green backs and it sounded bad ass with them, I was kinda tripping out to be honest. I only had the gain at noon (half) and it was nice thick and chewy. Makes me want to buy some real greenbacks now lol.

Same here, I can’t even get any work done or actual mixes becsuse every cab/speaker I pull up I’m like holy fuck this sounds EFFING GREAT. Like REALLY great. These are the first IR’s I don’t have to pull out like 83737 db’s of low mid mud for starters. Most everything I’m pulling an absolute shit ton of that out. But the crazy part is, they don’t have that low mid mud yet still have a huge ass bottom end below 150 hz as well. Nutso.

What was that video where you had clips from various movies with people running ?
