How are they?
I like the look of the stock Gibson Deluxe tuners, but they're really rough and unstable.
I bought a set of Grover Deluxe tuners to replace them, but they seem identical (even with the PW marking on the underside of the housing), except the tuner tips are snot green. Yuck. They function better, but that might have just been good luck.
I see the Schaller tuners have a better gear ratio, but still have the vintage-y look. However, the specs make them seem like they're heavy. They have got a brass post, though. So maybe they're good?
I've looked into the Kluson Revolutions, but I heard they're as heavy if not heavier than Grovers. I do like the look of the more traditional housing of the Schallers, but if they're not better, then yeah, what's the point.
