Is anyone here sporting the Eventide Space?

I am in the market for some ambient effects and was set to purchase the Strymon Blue Sky. Now am I thinking otherwise after hearing some clips of the Space. Any users here, and if so, are you digging it? I love the flexibility it offers. I am just not very familiar with Eventide.

Don't own it, but heard it in person at the NY(NJ) amp show in 2011. It sounded great, especially for the ambient stuff whcih is what you are going for. So many different types of reverb. The coolest part is that you can reverb a reverb with it.

Thanks for the input. That is probably what I was looking for exactly -- someone who has heard it in person, in a loud setting.

Dont own one,but Id love to..Sounds killer in their clips. All thier pedals are top notch..Im waiting for thier version of a "g-system"...imagine, a TF,PF,MF, and Space in well layed board from eventide..

I want one.

I love my Factor pedals - can't see this being anything but awesome.

i got one when they first came out, paid a small fortune to have it shipped over to NZ, sold it within a month of it arriving.
not because it didnt sound good, cause it really did sound awesome.....but because it was like operating a space ship (excuse the pun) i bought a strymon blue sky and havent looked back. its just so much easier to get quick and great sounds out of and i found having less settings meant i wasnt spending all my time "tweaking" and more time playing :)

I've owned the Strymon Timeline, played the Blue Sky and own the Space...IMHO the space kills the others for flexibility and 'useful' tones (again IMHO).

I also found it really simple to get good tones out of. I spent a couple of hours with it when I first got it, tweaked some existing patches and overwrote some stuff that I wouldn't have used and I've now got about 15 killer verb setups.

I now have a cool trem effect, 80s chorus effect and a number of very natural verbs including a couple of awesome sounding Blackhole patches. There are plenty of other crazy sounds I experiment with from time to time.

A mate owned the Blue Sky and even he thought the Space was fantastic...he sold the BS after demoing the Space.

..  now I really want one and Im supposed to be watching my pennies!

The Space is a monster pedal..too much for a set it forget it kind of guy(like me). Strymon pedals are the shit! I actually like the Blue Sky better but I just like turning a knob then racking the pedal. The shimmer on the space is pretty impressive!

I've become the same. If I can't get a good sound in a short amount of time what's the sense. I had the Modfactor and I wanted to take a hammer to that thing. A million sounds in it but hardly any that were any good or useful. I played around with the Space at the NY ampshow and thought it was cool if I were making a soundtrack for a 70's Sci-Fi movie. For real life use I'd get not much use out of it, especially for what it cost.

I have all the eventide stomps in my effects loop chain. They are all very powerful and feature rich - but you gotta put the time in to write your own patches, otherwise you wont really be able to appreciate them.

Highly recommend using and expression pedal and made up some extension switches so you can map to additional controls (like Bank Down!).

If you're not into all that - it's hard to beat the strymon gear.

+1 on the take your time comment...imagine what wouldntve been if Randall Smith,Peter Diezel,Jim Marshall, and Friedman modding marshalls wouldntve taken "their" time to tweak their creations!........and I too think strymon pedals rock...its all good
