Last thing I need is the Youtube algorithm clogging up my 'profile' with more political bullshit. So if someone posts a thread and the OP is nothing but a link to a story or vid and no other explanation/position/comment - I'm passing.

I never stay logged in to Google accounts and clear cookies regularly for this reason. I don’t want to be profiled, period, guitar stuff or otherwise. If you don’t like the hassle, you can create browser profiles as well, keep your Google logins separate from other web activity.

Good advice.
I'm not super worried about the profiling. I have nothing to hide so I don't really care. I may regret that some day though. I've been using DuckDuckGo as a browser more and more too for the reasons you brought up. If you have not tried that, check them out. Much less profiling going on there. I use it to browse FB for example.
