Honestly I've been a bit bored on here lately, but I've also been playing a LOT of guitar lately and getting some pretty good practice/writing accomplished, so it's all good. Something cool will come along on here eventually.
I'd love another amp shootout with the amps mentioned above.

Honestly I've been a bit bored on here lately, but I've also been playing a LOT of guitar lately and getting some pretty good practice/writing accomplished, so it's all good. Something cool will come along on here eventually.
I'd love another amp shootout with the amps mentioned above.

You know what I think it is? I'm not gassing for any gear. Yeah I want to get a 5150, but it's tolerable. I've had/have boutique amps. I found my niche with guitars... I don't use a lot of effects... I just don't have alot of gear requirements these days. So I guess I come on here expecting something cool, but it's just gear that I'm not interested in. Yeah it sounds good, they all sound good... LOL! All these freaking amps are terrific. There's not a dog in there... Fortin/Splawn/Cameron/Bogner/Marshall/Mesa/Diezel/Friedman. They're all killer... What's left to say? Right? LOL!

That's what keeps me coming back. I've only owned three tube amps. Used to have a Fender Hot Rod, and for years now it's been my Carvin MTS and Recto. Coming here and seeing/hearing all these Friedmans, Bogners, etc keeps me coming back. That, and there are some good peeps here that I enjoy "hanging" with.

I can see where you're coming from though. If I had owned everything out there, I don't think I'd be that interested anymore. With gear, it's the journey and not the destination. I keep dreaming of putting this ultimate, end-all rig together, but I know that when I get there, I'll probably get bored and go back to a couple pedals and a plexi or Fender combo.

The good thing is that I haven't lost my motivation or inspiration to play guitar. I've never gone more than a few days without picking it up in my 15 or so years of playing.

Yup... You sound like me about 10 years ago LOL! .. (I've been at this for like 25+ years). It's only in the last couple years that I've gone thru some great gear only to realize that it's all good and I could live with any of them... LOL!

Yeah guitar is way too much part of who I am. I take a short break every now and again... Seems to help me alot.
