Is my amp out of phase?

Hi David,

I have a Marsha that you modded from 50 to 100 watts, installed an effects loop and did some tweaks and when I re amp the Marsha to blended it with other amps ,it sounds out of phase.I have to reverse the phase on the track by adding a plugging or flipping the phase switch on my mic pre. Any idea why this is happening? All of my 8 amps which 2 are yours) work fine when I blend them. The amp still sounds great by itself. Thanks and Happy New Year!

This is normal depending on the channel you are on. For instance the HBE is a different phase then the BE. If a amp has a tube loop it can flip the phase etc. Not to worry,do what you are doing.

Thanks for your response David. My Metro that you modded to sound like the Metro/Friedman it's sounding phenomenal and I've been using it more than all my other amps What a huge difference from before!

I use the BE side the most since I don't usually go for tons of gain unless I'm doing some crazy leads. But I use the effects loops on the amps which don't require to be cranked like my straight Marshall type. I only use the effects loop for my Boss GE 10, 10 band eq that I use on the Marsha, Suhr PT100, ENGL Power Ball 2 and occasionally on my Dirty Shirley and the only one amp that I need to flip the phase on, is the Marsha. I don't mind it, but I was just wondering why it happens. Take care thanks.
