Is stereo and wdw a big difference?

I haven't hooked up the WDW with the Boss EVH. Wondering if I'd notice a huge sound difference, enough to justify a third cab purchase?

It was a colossal failure for me. If I had splitter with isolated outs and switches for phasing then it might be a different story. Plus my dry was a horrible sounding combo so that didn’t help. But my stereo setup is just amazing. Ask japetus….he can attest….and jtyson…I sent him a video of me playing unchained in my underoos….

The pedal comes with a three way splitter cable for that. Did you see thst in the box?

A few things yes it's a difference. Additionally the implementation with the pedal is different. Traditional WDW is line out from your amp or load box to 2 different units with their own unique time based setting then into power amps. The power amps can be solid state since they are accurate and the signal post power tubes (line out) instead of FX loop

There is absolutely a difference but it depends on how much effects are part of your core tone. For out and out metal type tones with slight delay then the cons definitely out weigh the pros. I love pristine clean 80's chorus tones and thats where it shines for me. The real benefit to me is that no matter how many layers I add the notes dont trip on each other like it sometimes can in stereo. Again, we are talking heavily processed. For the EVH chorus thing it also sounds great but with the extra gear you need to add vs. just stereo, I wouldnt gig with that type of setup. For at home it can be a blast.

Having complete control can be very inspiring to dive into whatever unit your working with and go nuts!

Yeah mine would just be home. I don't trust one tube amp let alone two, lol.
