Is the Kemper really worth it?

I have posted this question elsewhere to get as many opinions as I can about it.

I have always been a diehard tube fan and the idea of axe-fx and kemper has always seemed to good to be true, but it seems that the more that I listen to well made profiles and recording of them that this line is getting blurred. I have a small home studio where I get to record bands often so it could in theory be an amazing tool. Do any of you guys have first hand experience with one? What are your thoughts?

I love my Kemper.....I didn't want to like it when I got it but it has won me over! In my studio I have many tube amps but the Kemper can totally hang with the proper profiles...

Try not to look at it as tubes vs...

I love my tube amps as they just have something extra. I can't deny that. However, since I got my Kemper almost 4 years ago my playing has gotten so much better. The Kemper gets killer tone and allows me to practice and play whenever I want without the volume issue. I have never played as much as I do now and it's great. I use it for home and with the band. I have my Mesa Boogie Electra Dyne combo and pedalboard permanently at the practice space just because it's a pain to move and setup every time. I love using the tube rig and Kemper rig live. I will say the sound guy loves the Kemper rig because he can get a super clean signal and mix it really well. Do I like the feel of a tube amp behind me? Sure I do. Is it a deal breaker if the Kemper doesn't mimic it 100%? No way! I get a much more consistent tone with my Kemper rig.

To answer the original question...yes, it really is worth it. For me at least. I'll never sell it. It has been invaluable for my playing and ease of use. I'll always have tubes as well. I don't buy one to replace the other. It isn't a "vs" thing to me. They're all just tools to help me play guitar.

Now if i can just get the time to turn my Henning Bottle Rocket head into a combo. I want to give that amp some live playing time!
