It is available for order. The price including the footswitch with the Head is $3999.00 plus shipping. The foot switch is run via phantom power off of a guitar cable and it controls all three channels, loop and reverb (all with LED's). I am expecting to have 30 of them in the next few weeks.
I don't know if it's just a looks thing or if it's simply because you don't need the extra room, but is there any reason why the Einstein/Schmidt = slimmer than standard heads/VH4/Herbert?

einstein is a lot "deeper" than standard heads. and hey it looks cool and makes him stand out from herbert etc
another issue may be that they both are available as combos. in terms of finances its more lucrative to have both versions ( combo/head ) at one sice. if you look at the eini combo you see that its simply an eini head , just turned . the controls seem to be mirrored etc.
Huge R&D necessary, Scott.
And its not a "typical Diezel" (in the sense that most guys wouldn't expect an amp like this from a company which innovated the VH4, Herbert and Einstein), its a tonemonster of its own - if you want: "on the other side" of the musical spectrum.
Its worth it . . . european prices TBA (soon). AFAIK.
