Have some extra EVM 12ls and was thinking about a 4x12 cab if such a thing is out there.

I don't think so. Some where on my computer I have the EV plans for the 1x12 Thiele cab. I have often thought about converting the specs for a 2x12.

If you knew what you were doing, you could easily convert the plans for the 1x12 cab into a similar 4x12 cab.
The easiest way would be to set it up a 4 separate chambers, each with its own port. You could also make a single volume with a single port, but you'd have to calculate the volume needed and the port size yourself from the speaker specs.

That group of four individual 1x12 thieles would be a great 'permanent' cab. Can't imagine moving that thing. Port City does a good 2x12.

I know a dude that built the "two 1x12s in a single box" idea. I've never heard it myself, but he likes it.

An EV loaded 4x12 with four individual chambers is a cool idea... but the novelty of using it would wear off after the second time you had to use it. It'd probably have some interesting phase shit going on with 4 speakers and 4 ports all having at it at the same time.

I built one a while ago.
Gonna try to find the pictures.
But, due to construction and speaker weight, the cabinet weighs about 125lbs.
So you better get big casters
