I've been looking around for an oversize mesa and got an offer from this guy but I can't tell if it's an oversize or not.
I only have his picture to go by.

Grey piping = Recto Traditional
Silver piping - Stiletto (same as Recto Trad.)

edit: upon second glance, I think it's a traditional (smaller) cab, because I'm pretty sure the oversized slant cabs have a straight cabinet and only the speakers slant back.![]()

ah! How astute, I have never noticed that. You are the man.
Height is the obvious thing to check when in person.dfrattaroli":20ckfjl0 said:The piping doesn't always tell that story. Just measure the height. If it's a shade under 30" tall, then it's a traditional. Don't include the casters. A tad of 32" inches tall and you have an OS.

Not true. The cabs came with black piping on traditionals back in the recto day.D-Rock":2wdkiw3l said:Height is the obvious thing to check when in person.dfrattaroli":2wdkiw3l said:The piping doesn't always tell that story. Providing the cab is stock and not a custom order from Mesa, the piping color will always determine the model of these cabs.
