im sorry to tell you that it will not knock up much db in the room.

3/4 ply and some acoustic foam does not equate to rock wool and acoustic dampening .

however if you are trying to tame room coloration that would help some.

Is that even 3/4".

In any event, it will knock down a lot of the high end.
