It finally happened.

I saw them open for Aerosmith when they couldn’t get away with any cunty shit and they were AWESOME. They blew Aerosmith off the stage. Incredible performance and probably one of the top 5 shows I’ve ever seen.
Like many bands, success was leprosy. But GnR was definitely the poster child for that concept.
Given a choice, I’d pick them over elevator muzack.

Slash and Axle took too much when I saw them and there was considerable falling down.
White Lion was better, although I was not the biggest fan.
Aerosmith was on point but Permanent Vacation isn't exactly Rocks or TITA.
In total, 3 stars out of 5....if GnR had stayed in the bus.
2.5 stars
All forgettable.

I’ll say this, Appetite For Destruction is a hell of a blues/hard rock record HOWEVER…

I saw GnR at Eastern Creek in the 1993, I was 14 or 15?
Rose Tattoo were cool but then Skid Row fucking destroyed the place. They were angry and goddam rampant and just ripped it up.
I felt sorry for GnR having to follow Skid Row, Ye Gods they were unreal.

Yep,
Saw the same tour, although I wasn’t 14-15😉
Yes, Skid Row annihilated G&R, IMO.

When G&R hit the stage, it was like the energy was completely sucked outta the venue.
