Spoke with bruce at the show.

he is now gonna focus attention to the modular line.

E2 is coming for sure.

Dual modules with dual eq on the eggie modules

he is also gonna be working directly with the boutique guys like soldano to make custom modules!

sweet!

now instead of just a modded module like an SLO, you can get a module that Mike Soldano designs!

how cool is that!

Yes, I'm holding my breath.
I've been holding off pulling the trigger on a new amp because the M4 I had really raised the bar and I'd have a hard time being satisfied otherwise. Interesting that he's 'focusing on the modular line now' - does that mean he's divested the other amp lines to other management, or has he set up a new support model for his non-mod amps?

That's some great news! I guess I'll keep my VHT 2/50/2.
Did Bruce have a booth at Namm? Didn't see any videos of Bruce.

Bump to keep thread alive...I have a dual EQ modded module...it's awesome!

I'm intrigued by the dual EQ config. I imagine the current EQ knobs will all have to be replaced with the smaller ones used by volume/gain.
It would be cool to have a VX with Tom Petty/Peter Buck dialed in on Channel A and Edge dialed in on B.

What do you have?

BTW, "it lives" can't be posted until it gets manifested and available in the physical world

I love Bruce and truly hopes this happens, but I spoke with him at the November 2012 Amp Building Class and was told the same news. Again, Bruce is as good as they come and truly hope this happens, but I'm not getting excited until an E2 is sitting under my MOD50.

Please Bruce can you collaborate with Dave Friedman to make a couple of BE/HBE voiced modules like 65 amps just did for their Whisky Amp

i've heard about this for a while, but promised not to name who told me. If it actually happens, who knows? If it does, I'll be even more heavily invested into MTS.

That's wicked

Truely great news!!! Both the E2 and the custom mods. Like felineguitars I would be very interested in a BE/HBE mod from Friedman.

Back when I was running the modular stuff I had an SL2 modded by Friedman for the BE/HBE. Honestly, I was very unimpressed. The spec on BE100/Marsha doesn't really allow for capturing that amp in the modular format, at least not to a T. They just aren't set up the same way.

Also, the work done was ametuer at best. Mine had serious noise issues due to improper placement of components and component selection, which I had to fix. I don't think the guys at Friedman at the time had a way to test the modules after the mods but I could be wrong.

It would be cool to have a HBE/BE module (different from what was done to mine), but I'd wan Bruce doing the design and build (or his team) if I was going to get one.
