So, I need to replace the trem arm and socket in my trusty old Charvel and got to thinking: could I replace it with a standard 'Original Floyd Rose' arm and especially the socket, will they fit into the JT-6, or should I go with the modified one found from www.fretsonthenet.com for example?

An Ibanez Edge arm works perfectly...pops right in. It will be black instead of bare metal but assuming your JT-6 is black, its actually a better fit IMO. A standard Floyd arm wouldn't work without serious modification (they're screw in).
Anything that Dave sells at FOTN will be quality...he's always a great option as well.

Thx!

Yeah, black it is. I was thinking to replace the current socket with a screw-in socket. But I think I'll just get a replacement arm+socket from the local shop because I seem to have misplaced my black standard FR arm   . That way I'll know both sides of the story basically :) .

or you can just drop an OFR on the same posts as the JT6. ;)

I did that on my black bound USA Jackson strat.

Hehe this has crossed my mind as well, but being the cheap a-hole that I am, I'm looking for the cheapest solution possible :D .
