Jackson RR guys, Question for you

There seem to be quite a few diff models of the Jackson RR, are there any reasonable models that have the standard trem with straight bar like Randy would have used or is that all custom shop? The custom route on these seems crazy expensive. What do you guys know about them? The RR-3 with ebony board is appealing but I wish it didn't have the floyd. I would have thought they would have a model with a trem in similar price point but I guess that's an " upgrade"?

This is interesting.. the last set list he played hand written with which guitar he used for which song. Les Paul heavily featured and one of the Jacksons listed for a few tunes. Sandoval V has a 4 or 5 song run too.

I's just man up and get an RR1 with a recessed floyd. Will stay in tune unlike that rinky dink strat type bridge sheeit

I can tell you a young Jim DeCola got the call to get Randy's trem's to stay in tune.

RRT-3 is made either in Indonesia, China or Mexico, I think.

The model based on the original design is 22-fret Concorde. Most have hardtails IIRC. I had one awhile back

Now that's what im talking about. Killer. I just love the look of a standard trem and to be honest, the TONE too. There is a difference. I also find Floyd's bulky. I'm ok with strat trems needing a dive to reset. Plenty of good 2 point trems that are stable now too. What did you pay for that beauty??

I'd sooner go to teemu ..
Sandoval's booked until forever. Probably will croak before fulfilling all the builds. When that happens those builds will skyrocket in price.

FYI, each of Sandoval's polka dot Flying V builds has a unique dotting pattern, not one is identical to another build.

I love king Vs, but rhoads just feel better for me. I cant stand floyds, but i have found great jacksons for cheap and expensive. I have either been lucky, or they just knock it out of the park.

If you buy a cheap one give it a setup, redo the electronics, and you should be good to go. Honestly, even my custom needed me to redo the electronics, but everything else is fucking tits

The Les Paul was used for everything in standard, minus Crowley and Suicide which he used the Sandoval for cause they have dive bombs. The Jackson was used for the Diary songs since they're in Eb.

Makes sense and that is what I figured the reasoning behind that was. I have to say though, with the standard trem, I prefer the look of the Concorde to the Sandoval. Having an Edwards Schenker V, it just is not comfortable to play seated no matter how you position yourself.

the ebony board on the RR-3 def appeals to me. Not Japanese or American made but the feel of ebony fret boards feel like butter. I love themfor fast playing.

Ouch, I see where you saw that 92 Jackson.. thems collector's prices.
