Looking on input on typical USA soloist neck shapes....more C or more D?

I don't recall mine being a C shape at all. Then again I got rid of mine in 1989!

Mine wasn't nearly as flat/thin as the Ibanez wizard necks, but it wasn't a Les Paul or tele shape either. I used my Soloist in a thrash band. It was a fast playing and comfortable neck to me. I wouldn't mind having one again.

Ibanez necks are crazily thin... and if not wrong its thinner than Jackson speed necks... i would like somewhere at 0.85" at first fret and tapers evenly down to 12th..i prefer beefier necks

You are correct. I have five ibanez prestige and five MIJ Jacksons. The Prestige necks are a little bit thicker than the old RG550's though.

Look into an older ESP. Thicker than both and plays heavenly.
